Materia turns flexible feedstocks, methanol, sugar, and waste carbon, into high-performance materials and chemicals. Feedstock flexibility is the point. It lets production bend to cost, availability, and supply chains that need to stay resilient.
The chemistry starts with something microbes already do. Many bacteria store carbon as natural polyesters, much like fat reserves, and those polyesters break down naturally. Materia directs that process toward the materials industry needs.
Biodegradable bio-polyesters are one of those outputs, designed to perform and then break down naturally in soil and marine environments. They are just one part of what Materia makes, alongside a growing range of specialty chemicals.
